A young boy in front of the bronze sculpture "Le Negre Marron" or The Black Maroon, or "Neg Mawon" in creole, situated across from the Presidential Palace in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It was created by Haitian sculptor/architect Albert Mangones to commemorate the slaves who successfully revolved against France. Today, the work of art is surrounded by a tent community that arose after a massive earthquake devastated much of Haiti on January 12, 2010. Photographed on October 26, 2011.
